The last 24 hours have just been amazing! On Wednesday afternoon, we had a stroll through the town centre of Metz, including a visit to the impressive cathedral. In the evening, we could finally resume flying, with the new world record of 408 balloons taking off within one hour from the air base of Chambley. We just returned for refueling when the 13 gas balloons took off for their competition – while about 20 hot air balloons were doing a great night glow!
On Thursday morning, it was time for the next record: The longest line of hot air balloons taking off one after another, with 391 balloons just about 50 more than at the previous record set in 2011!
