BALLOON SAIL KIEL

For some years already, we’ve been looking forward to visit the balloon meeting at Kiel, which takes place during the famous Kieler Woche, one of the biggest sailing ship events worldwide. And this year, we teamed up with Kubicek Balloons Germany and turned that dream into reality! =)

We couldn’t have chosen a better year. Not a single drop of rain during all the week allowed four terrific flights for us – one evening we chose to board a historic sailing ship instead and watch the balloons (and beautiful fireworks) from there. Concerts, boat tours, strolls along the party location at the Bay of Kiel and long evenings at the pilot’s inn on the launch site with lots of friends, old and new, made our stay really enjoyable – not to mention the night glow and fireworks afterwards! ;-)

So, THANKS go out to all the people who made this week so awesome! We will return to Kiel, that is for sure!
