REUNION AT GOSAU

Directly from our stay at Filzmoos, we continued our winter mountain tour to Gosau, which is one of our most beloved places for model ballooning. Having flown our very first model balloon there back in 1995, we continued to visit the Austrian mountain village for many many years, until other meetings got more important. After our last visit in 2014, a five years pause followed.

But our model balloon friends never gave up dreaming about a revival of the meeting, and so, in late 2019, we started planning.
We were lucky: Our preferred hotel still had some rooms, the organizer of the Dachstein Alpen Trophy agreed to provide us with some gas cylinders, and the weather also played along.

And so, several more dreams got fulfilled these days: A wonderful reunion with friends, two nice flights with our remote controlled solar model balloon, a flight with our Raven Aerostar Aurora over the village (I always wanted to fly there myself!)… we even went skiing on Saturday afternoon, and spent long evenings at the bar of our accomodation.
