With a nice night glow yesterday evening, the first weekend of the Festival delle mongolfiere at Forlì has come to an end. Next weekend we’ll be somewhere else again… so we had to say goodbye to all our new friends. Thank you for an amazing time guys! ;-)   [...]

After a long wait for the windspeed to drop, we could finally take to the skies for another flight over Forlì! It was a short but funny hop, and we landed on the same field with two other balloons again, helping us to get back to the festival :-)   [...]

Tonight, it was too windy to fly at Forlì… and also the nightglow could only take place without envelopes. But it was a nice evening nevertheless, and the crowd just loved the show! :-) [...]

The first flight at Forlì is done! And we had great fun flying low over the rooftops of the town, aiming for Team Iveco for a lift back to the launch site… and… it worked! ;-)   [...]

That’s something I’ve always wanted to do: to cross Munich with a balloon! And today, weather, wind direction and speed were really nice for this flight. Taking off right next to the place I live, cold morning winds led me right over the Olympia Park and the BMW world, two of the most famous landmarks [...]

It was eight years ago on this very day, when I accomplished one of my biggest dreams: To finally become a real hot air balloon pilot. I still remember my examination flight as if it had been yesterday. And who wouldn’t, with such a morning? ;-) [...]

Winter has returned to Germany… so we’re heading south! ;-) Within three days time, we’ll be on our way to the Festival delle mongolfiere in Forlì, Italy… a new adventure in a new country.
