The gas balloon winter competition of the Freiballonclub Salzach-Inn is a one-day event that is only held in good weather. For that reason, it had been cancelled many times in the years before, but 2025, we were finally lucky! :-)<\/p>\n
Balloons were inflated from Friday morning, so that all 11 gas balloons were ready Saturday at sunrise for a double hare and hounds. Perfect weather conditions with an almost 180 degrees wind turn during the day provided us with an 8 hour flight and a way back of only 55 minutes! How good can it get? =)<\/p>\n
The two teams of the Ballonsportgruppe Stuttgart e.V. were back just in time for the goodbye evening with all the balloon teams and a little prize giving ceremony, which was – no surprise – won by current long distance world champion Christian “Wuzi” Wagner.
